Lucuma (loo-coo-ma) is a fruit traditionally known as “Gold of the Incas” and can be identified by its green skin, bright yellow-orange flesh and large seed (similar to an avocado).
It’s native to the Andean regions of South America, where it has been used for thousands of years. Carvings of the fruit have even been discovered on ceramics excavated from ancient burial sites located along the coast of Peru.
Our certified-organic Lucuma Powder is made from whole Peruvian lucuma that has been carefully dehydrated at low temperatures and milled into a fine powder.
It has a divine flavour (much like maple syrup with a hint of apricot) and can be used as a delicious, 100% natural sweetener.
